Healing and Self Growth through writing – A Workshop

I began conducting the Healing for self growth Workshops in 2018 at the Himalayan Writing Retreat, Village Satkhol (Nainital District), Uttarakhand. 

The workshop has been designed using scientifically validated practices and theories from the field of psychology. The art and science of psychology, combined with the therapeutic benefits of being in nature, provide a powerful healing and growth experience in a safe, non-judgmental space. 

Through a host of different exercises participants at this workshop get an opportunity to self-reflect, process some difficult emotions, gain insights into their thoughts and feelings, and possibly find a new perspective or a better way to deal with life’s challenges. While participants go through various exercises as a group, they can choose to keep their personal journey private, if they wish. Sharing is optional.

In addition, through meditation sessions, mindfulness and visualisation exercises we try out ways to calm the mind. For those so inclined, refreshing walks and hikes through the forests or mountain/star gazing in clear skies often provide a greater sense of wellbeing.

The program is open to all individuals over the age of 18. Writing experience or expertise is not required. This is not a craft course so writing or publishing goals wont be served by it. For more information, please visit this link .
